Atyar Law company possesses extensive experience in conducting mediation in both domestic and international disputes, including institutional mediation and ad hoc mediation matters, covering local and international commercial disputes in accordance with the mediation rules of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA), the principles of Islamic Sharia, and the applicable laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Philosophy

Our Philosophy as Mediators

We view our role as mediators as facilitating constructive negotiations between the parties toward an amicable settlement. Our methodology is centered on assisting the parties in reaching a mutually acceptable resolution to their dispute, rather than evaluating or judging the merits of either party’s position. Our objective is to help the parties achieve their interests, reach sustainable and lasting solutions, and preserve their ongoing relationship.

Among the approaches we consider most effective in encouraging parties to reach a settlement are: clearly explaining the role of mediation and the mediator, clarifying the mediator’s neutral position toward both the parties and the dispute, and presenting all possible settlement options proposed by the mediator and the parties, together with the supporting rationale for each option.

We remain committed to continuous professional development through participation in advanced mediator training programs and best practice initiatives, including advanced mediation case management training delivered by the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) in cooperation with the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in Riyadh in 2018.

Our representative in arbitration and mediation practice was also nominated by the Arab International Organization for Arbitration and Dispute Resolution, together with the Civil Society Ambassadors Authority, among the Top 50 Influential Arab Figures in the field of civil society for the year 2020.
